MCC (Multi Crew Cooperation)

General Information and Comparison with CRM

CRM training is company specific and will not be entered in the license. It needs to be refreshed at regular intervals, again following a company specific syllabus. Therefore attending a generic CRM is not helpful.

MCC on the other hand is a requirement for the full (unfrozen) ATPL and for flying multicrew aircraft. Most type rating training organisations now offer to include the MCC training in their type rating course, as do many airlines who perform their own training.

The completion of an MCC course is usually not included in the license before the first type rating that requires it is included.

If the MCC course is done outside of Switzerland the ATO (Approved Training Organization) must have an EASA certificate and a copy of it must be sent to BAZL together with the course certificate.

The organization has a certificate as an EASA ATO but maybe a current one should be requested when the course is taken.
